Eliza Pickrell Routt was the first woman to register to vote in Colorado.  In her honor, for Women’s Equality Day 2020 the Breckenridge Women in Beer Chapter brewed a special beer called Eliza-Rita, a margarita inspired sour with watermelon, jalapeno and a touch of salt.

Here at Breck Brew, our Women in Beer Chapter believes in supporting Women’s Equality in all forms, and one way to do that is by helping provide access to affordable housing which disproportionally impacts women and single-parent homes.  That is why $1 of every pour of Eliza-Rita was donated to the Habitat for Humanity Women Build Project.

On October 27th, 2021 the women of Breck Brew participated in building the Aria complex with Habitat for Humanity.  Learn more about Women Build here.  We greatly appreciate the opportunity to support our local community and to work with Habitat for Humanity Women Build!
