Support the Colorado Avalanche Information Center by Drinking Avalanche Ale

The 2019 ski season has made all of our wildest powder dreams come true. But with serious gnar on the mountain, comes serious potential for dangerous consequences.

Avalanches in Colorado are not just something you see on Planet Earth or your favorite snowboarding documentary. As we've seen of late...they are a real threat that could impose on anyone in the mountain vicinity.

As a brewery born in the mountains, we strive to protect them and to keep safe their growing number of inhabitants and visitors. And hey - the first beer we ever brewed was Avalanche Amber Ale. It's in our DNA to do something.

From now through the month of March, order an Avalanche Amber at the Brew Pub in Breckenridge and $1 of your pint will be donated to Friends of CAIC, the non-profit organization that passionately supports the Colorado Avalanche Information Center. These two groups work tirelessly every year to provide avalanche information, education and to promote research on the protection of life, property and the enhancement of the state's economy. We've loved working with the great people behind CAIC and we're excited to launch this new initiative to help the cause.

So, when you're heading to Breck to take advantage of mother nature's cold, fluffy generosity - first, check the observations and field reports on the CAIC website to be prepared. Then, stop at the Breck Brew Pub to savor a smooth, malty Avalanche Ale while supporting Colorado's protection against real avalanches.
